Morning Prayer in the Meadow

Oxford University students recently came together for Morning Prayer in the Meadow.

The event was organised by Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy CAFOD Group as part of their LiveSimply campaign.

Christine Hobden from the group said: ‘We were lucky to have lots of sun! We used normal morning prayer but for the intercessions we used the prayer with the icon for the Hungry for Change campaign.’

The icon, produced by Sr Esther of the Benedictine Community in Turvey, Bedfordshire and donated to CAFOD to support the Hungry for Change campaign, depicts the feeding of the five thousand. It can be viewed here, with an accompanying reflection and prayer: www.cafod.org.uk/Pray/On-your-own/Icon-reflection.
