The ‘Fat Friar’ has been helping parishioners at St Thomas More, Coventry, to raise vital funds to enable CAFOD to respond to the crisis in Syria.
Chocolate donated to the Fat Friar raised £80 in a tombola. Altogether, the parish has raised a fantastic £517 to support CAFOD’s ongoing emergency response.
Fighting in Syria has caused a humanitarian crisis on a staggering scale, and it’s getting worse every day. Over 70,000 people have been killed and more than five million children, women and men driven from their homes.
