The first ever Ride London 100 cycling event was earlier this month and it was a storming success! In all it was 100 miles from London to Surrey and back, starting in the Olympic park and finishing on the mall, designed to follow in the successful legacy of the Olympics last year.
Many riders were extremely positive about their experience, with most saying it could soon be ‘The London Marathon equivalent for cycling’! Therefore, as our marathon runners travel from around the country for the race, CAFOD Birmingham thought perhaps some of our keen cyclists may do the same for the Ride London 100 next year!
CAFOD had a team of two cyclists this year, with Nick Jarvis and John Mills doing really well and finishing the race in very good time, you can see more of their story on the Brentwood blog here.
The ballot for next year’s event is now open! CAFOD would love as many as possible of our cycling supporters to sign up and get their own place, who we can then welcome to Team CAFOD. It was great to have two cyclists this year, but we would love loads more! The registration link is here, and you can find more information here.
