On Wednesday 23 October, Dr Paula Gooder will preach a special sermon on seeking justice and how this fits with Traidcraft’s work.
The sermon will take place at The Church at Carrs Lane, Carrs Lane, Birmingham B4 7SX. Since it is just around the corner from many of you in the Birmingham diocese, we suggest you go along to support the great work Traidcraft does.
Paul, from Traidcraft, explained that the Traidcraft sermons have been introduced “to encourage people to reflect upon the Christian inspiration for social justice and in particular for trade justice. We hope that this encourages people to connect practical day to day actions like buying fair trade products or filling in campaign postcards with their faith.”
The sermon on the 23rd Oct will focus on the theme of The Thoughts of our Hearts: Seeking Justice as an essential part of Christian Spirituality
Dr Paula Gooder will be discussing justice as an important biblical theme and how the Bible instructs and inspires us to live out our faith by striving to make the world a more just place. Paula will talk from personal experience about how Traidcraft provides individuals and faith communities with a great way of doing this. There will also be a chance for questions and discussion.
