11 campaign activists from 5 parishes across the Coventry deanery came together to hear about CAFOD’s new campaign, one Climate, One World
At present, climate change is the biggest threat to reducing poverty. Current projections suggest that over the next 20 years up to 200 million people will be at risk of hunger if the planet sees the possible 2-3 degree C rise in temperature.
As part of The Climate Coalition, alongside over 100 organisations with millions of supporters across the UK, we’re urging politicians to:
- Collaborate to prevent climate change pushing people deeper into poverty
- Support the transition from polluting fossil fuels to sustainable energy for all
