A warm welcome to our new Volunteers in Kitts Green and Stechford!

A very warm welcome to our new Volunteers at Our Lady Help of Christians parish, Kitts Green and Corpus Christi parish, Stechford. We’re delighted to have you on board!

cafod-meeting

Lizzie enjoyed meeting with the three new Volunteers at Our Lady Help of Christians parish, Kitts Green on Sunday 13 November.

We reflected on the Lampedusa Cross together and wrote messages of hope cards to be shared with refugees in the UK and around the world.

Organise a card signing in your parish

We also found out all about the history of CAFOD- did you know that CAFOD was started by Volunteers? In 1960, volunteer members of the National Board of Catholic Women organised the first Family Fast Day! Read more here .

We then explored World Gifts and how you can get your parish involved this Advent. Our charity gift range of virtual and ethical presents make a huge difference to people in developing countries. Why not invite your parish to  change someone’s life this Christmas? Order extra World Gift catalogues for your parish and a free World Gift Volunteer pack here .

Like to join our volunteering team? Do get in touch at birmingham@cafod.org.uk . We’d love to hear from you!
