Volunteers from Coventry deanery and surrounding deaneries explore the LiveSimply Award

On Monday 20 February, Volunteers from Coventry, Rugby and Warwick deaneries gathered at St Thomas More parish, Coventry to explore CAFOD’s LiveSimply Award.

LiveSimply is an opportunity for Catholic communities-parishes, schools, religious orders and chaplaincies- to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation in Laudato Si’ to “work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to us”. The Award invites communities to illustrate how they have been living simply, sustainably with creation and in solidarity with people in poverty.

John Armstrong shared the LiveSimply journey of his parish, St Peter the Apostle, Leamington Spa. Many thanks John for all of your insight and pointers.

Interested in joining the journey too? Take a look at St Peter’s first and second LiveSimply Fayres for some lovely ideas!

We then explored how we could start our own LiveSimply journey’s in our parishes, schools and youth groups.

Many thanks to all who joined, for your thoughtful contributions, energy and enthusiasm!
