Father Peter Hughes, SSC

Summer Campaigns Day- blogYou are warmly invited to our CAFOD Campaigns Day

on Tuesday 11 July at 11am-3pm at St Columbans, Widney Manor Road, Solihull, B93 9AB.

Tea and coffee will be served from 10.45am and please do bring something for a bring-and-share lunch.

We will hear from Fr Peter Hughes, an Irish Columban priest from County Mayo who has spent most of his life as a missionary based in Lima, Peru.

As well as his work in some of the most desperately impoverished communities in Lima, Peter is an advisor to the Instituto Bartolome de las Casas and CELAM, the collegial council of Latin American bishops designed to promote pastoral leadership, initiatives and inspiration for the 22 bishops conferences of Latin America and the Caribbean.

We will also receive an update on our Power To Be campaign and enjoy a shared lunch together.

All are very welcome, I do hope you can join us. To confirm your place, please contact Lizzie in the Birmingham Volunteer Centre on ewignall@cafod.org.uk or 01922 722 944.
